Casino People- Casino reviews and ratings

Sunday, May 31st, 2009

CasinoPeople.comBefore you play at any online casino you should have a look at reviews to see what other people think about the casino. Newly launched CasinoPeople.com is a gaming portal with a huge collection of reviews and ratings for all kinds of online casinos.

I like how they've designed the site. Simple is better when it comes to web sites. They got no ads, and really easy to navigate web site. The tabs at the top of the site makes it so easy to find the information you're looking for ;-)

From the tab "US online Casinos" you can easily see which casinos accept US players and which don't so there's no need for you to visit each and every web site :D . You can also see bonus amounts, ratings and payout percentage directly from the casino lists, and if you need more information or to check out the reviews you just click on the casino name to see more. By surfing the site I also notice that they have an Amex section where you can find casinos accepting your American Express card :D

If you're new to the gaming online they have several good articles on everything game related from how to play various games and tips and trick on what you need to remember when playing. They also got a forum where you can discuss your experiences, but so far it's not so many people there.

So don't wait any longer, visit www.casinopeople.com today you too.

New banner sizes

Monday, May 25th, 2009

A couple of days ago we asked for suggestions for new banner sizes and we got two really good suggestions from our visitors:

We need the 250×250 square and some of the other rectangular banners.

This is a fun website. I have never created a banner ad or anything else resembling website stuff. But I am willing to learn how. However, the banner I need to create is for an ad in a magazine called Invision. It is presently not available on your list of sizes on your website. The ad they have offered me is 180 x730 pixels. It would be great to get one of your free VIP memberships for this and greatly appreciated.

Since we said that if we implemented the suggested banner sizes we would give you some VIP memberships as thanks we've sent both Dave and Raphaelle a coupon each for a one year VIP membership :D

We didn't only implement the suggested 250×250 and 180×730, but we also implemented the following banner sizes at the same time:

  • 250×300 – Big button 1
  • 300×250 – Big button 2
  • 180×180 – Square 1
  • 250×250 – Square 2
  • 300×300 – Square 3
  • 180×730 – Extra wide skyscraper 1
  • 250×730 – Extra wide skyscraper 2
  • 300×730 – Extra wide skyscraper 3

As you can see suggestions can pay off sometimes :D

Suggest new banner sizes

Monday, May 18th, 2009

We're planning to expand the banner sizes we let you all create so we need you to suggest new sizes.

Is there any special size you're missing or do you think we got them all covered? At the moment we offer the following banner sizes, but is that enough?

  • 468×60 – Banner
  • 728×90 – Leaderboard
  • 120×60 – Small button 1
  • 125×60 – Small button 2
  • 120×90 – Medium button 1
  • 125×90 – Medium button 2
  • 125×125 – Medium button 3
  • 120×600 – Skyscraper
  • 160×600 – Wide skyscraper

Anyone suggesting a banner size we're implementing in the banner creator tool will get a free one year VIP membership as thanks :D so hurry up and suggest new banner sizes.A one year VIP membership is worth about $35/year.

This could also be a great opportunity for you to tell us what you think about our plan to let our VIP members to select any size they want, i.e. to make up their own sizes directly from the banner creator. Is that a good idea?

Also what do you think will add value to the VIP membership? What would make you pay for a membership? Anyone suggesting a feature we implement will get a lifetime VIP membership, a value of about $1750 (calculated on 50 years life expectancy :D multiplied by $35 so if you live longer it's worth even more).

How to spread the word about your banners

Saturday, May 2nd, 2009

What do you do with your newly created banner? Well we have several options for you to spread the word about your banner. You can for example post it to your Twitter time line or you can send it by email to your friends (or to yourself).

How to tweet about your banner

Inside the banner creator when you've successfully saved your banner you simply just click on the Twitter icon.

Twitter Icon

A special link (a really short one) will be created thanks to our partnership with 2ve.org and you'll be taken to the Twitter homepage where you can fill in a message to acompany your banner.

Once you've tweeted about your banner anyone of your followers can follow the link to CreateBanner.com to see your banner and to get the needed HTML code. They can't change the banner or copy it to the editor, but they can use it on their homepage for example.

How to email your banner

When you've saved your banner you can send it to someone by email. By using the email icon in the toolbar you'll be taken to the email form:

Once you've filled in the email addresses and a short message to your friend, you can send the email. There's no need to include the link to your baner since that's done automatically.
